Re-Cover
The elements that I changed to make this book cover look modern were the font and style. Since the color was a bright pink, I decided to keep the background with bright colors. I made it more modern by using the shapes and an outline of a bed. The bed used in the original looks old, especially the design on the headboard. I used a minimal and lighter font to match the light colors of the background. The original had a white boarder around the pink. Since my colors were inconsistent, I just made the remainder white.

ReplyDeleteI really like how this poster came out. It looks very professional and at first glance, it looks like a real poster. However, the quote is funny, but it isn't really related (at least I don't see how) to the rest of the poster. That's the only thing I don't really like though, the rest is really nice.
ReplyDeleteI really like the image and the color scheme that you went with. It really gives off a mysterious effect and creates a mood for your movie. Everything works well with each other and creates a really visually appealing movie poster. It's very simplistic, but it works. I think you might want to add a different text effect to the title. I don't think the simple black stroke compliments it as well as the rest of the poster. A slight gradient effect or a drop shadow may look nice.
