Magritte

Renee Magritte created the painting "Empire of Light". The visual illusion created from this image is that the light is only lighting up part of the city. However, it should all be bright because there is still light in the sky. That is why the city is dark, but the sky is light blue with white clouds.

Re-Cover

Image
The elements that I changed to make this book cover look modern were the font and style. Since the color was a bright pink, I decided to keep the background with bright colors. I made it more modern by using the shapes and an outline of a bed. The bed used in the original looks old, especially the design on the headboard. I used a minimal and lighter font to match the light colors of the background. The original had a white boarder around the pink. Since my colors were inconsistent, I just made the remainder white.
